Useful Tips

  • If the milk while heated get burnt it should be immediately poured into another bowl and covered with a wet cloth, then there will be no unpleasant smell.
  • In the hot afternoon, if you don’t have refrigerator, milk will be stored for longer in a basin with cold water. The ends of the napkin, which cover the pan, lower into the water and change it 2–3 times a day. In the same way butter can be stored.
  • Not to let milk get burnt, put a teaspoon of sugar in it before boiling.
  • Dishes from burnt milk are easier to wash if you use wood ash for washing.
  • Milk will not get burnt, if you rinse out the pot with cold water before boiling.
  • Milk is better to boil in a sealed container, occasionally lifting the cover and whipping foam to keep the vitamins.
  • Milk in bottles and bags can be drunk without boiling. Milk from the tanks and bought at the market must be necessarily boiled.
  • Not to make cheese sour, mix it with an equal amount of milk and left for an hour, then let the milk to flow under pressure or squeeze through cheesecloth.
  • Cottage cheese for dumplings should be kept in cold for 2 hours.
  • Milk and dairy products are beneficial to children and adults in the amount of 400-500 ml (of milk), because they contain protein, calcium, vitamins, fats – all that is necessary for growing bodies.
  • If the sour cream whipped poorly, you need to cool the water in the bowl, add egg white, and then sour cream will be whipped easily.
  • Butter is well preserved if it was wrapped in a cloth moistened with vinegar and placed under a deep plate with a piece of sugar.
  • Butter in the parchment near the evaporator can be stored for 2-3 weeks and on the shelves of the refrigerator only a week.
  • After a week of lying on the shelves of refrigerator cheese gets covered by a dry crust, which should be removed.
  • Wrapped in foil, cheese stays fresh for 10 days.
  • Cheese can not be pre-cut: it dries out, loses its aroma and taste.

The masks for face and neck.

In the warm milk add a pinch of borax and oatmeal for density. Mix well. This face mask softens and whitens the skin of any type.

Take half a cup of milk, 2 tbsp. of oat-flakes and the same amount of elderberry herb infusion. Tenderize oat-flakes in milk until the consistency of soft porridge and add elderberry extract. This warm mass should be applied to the face and neck with a thick layer. The face mask softens and tones the skin.

A nutritious face mask can be made from cheese, olive oil, milk and carrot juice (1:1:1:1). The components should be well mixed and applied to the face.

For freckles and age spots bleaching one can use cosmetic mask made from a quarter cup of sour milk and a tablespoon of oatmeal. The components are mixed to form a paste, which is placed between two layers of gauze and put on the face. This face mask is suitable for oily skin.

Use fat cottage cheese and cream for dry skin whitening. Recipe: for example, mix in equal proportions cream and lemon juice, add 5-10 drops of 10% hydrogen peroxide and apply to the skin. Or take 2 tsp. of cottage cheese, one egg yolk, 5-10 drops of hydrogen peroxide. Rub cottage cheese and egg yolk and add peroxide. The paste should be thick, with no lumps.

Cosmetic mask made of 3 tsp. of cottage cheese and a teaspoon of honey not only whitens but also moisturizes and nourishes the skin.

For dry, aging skin toning mask is useful. Take l tsp. of cottage cheese, 2 tbsp. of sour cream and 1 tsp. of salt. Components should be pounded until smooth and put on the face. The mask is for use 1-2 times a week and (try at least 8-12 procedures).

If you have fat and flabby skin, cream casein is very effective for you. To make it we have to take half a cup of skim milk, dilute it half with water, gently stir, then add a 1 g of citric acid or vinegar. After 2-3 h casein should be squeezed in gauze bag and washed with water from acid. Thus obtained casein (in milk it is usually bounded with calcium, phosphorus and amino acids, forming a highly active biological complex) should be mixed with 2.5 g of boric acid, 2.5 g of cocoa butter, 5 g of glycerin and rubbed vigorously. The cream acts anti-inflammatory, soothes irritated skin, softens the stratum corneum.

Popular cosmetic face masks are made of white bread and milk. Cut the crust from bread, the pour the crumb with milk and stir until thick sour cream.

Make a mask of oatmeal: 1 tbsp. of oatmeal is poured by 100 ml of hot milk. Then add 10-20 drops of olive oil.

A mask of green peas flour smoothes dry skin. Its preparation needs 2 tbsp. of flour and 2 tbsp. of whey that should be mixed. The mass obtained should be applied to the face and left to dry completely.

If you are over forty, a simple face curd mask will be useful for you: 2 tbsp. of curd mixed with 2 tsp. of vegetable oil with the juice got from half an orange.

Milk masks should be applied to the face for no more than 20-30 minutes, then remove with warm compresses or warm water. Then rinse your face with cool water.
